Epsilon Indi

Epsilon Indi (ε Indi, ε Ind) is a star system approximately 12 light-years from Earth in the constellation of Indus consisting of a K-type main-sequence star, ε Indi A, and two brown dwarfs, ε Indi Ba and ε Indi Bb, in a wide orbit around it.[9] The brown dwarfs were discovered in 2003. ε Indi Ba is an early T dwarf (T1) and ε Indi Bb a late T dwarf (T6) separated by 0.6 arcseconds, with a projected distance of 1460 AU from their primary star.

The system was first visited by United Earth surveyors in 2099 as part of the Sol Neighborhood survey.  Suspected to have Earth size planets since before the ascent, Epsilon Indi  had indeed six planets, of which one was in the habitable zone and  0.411 AU from the star.

The survey team found liquid water, but nothing alive. The Earth team did find a number of destroyed buildings and hundreds of skeletal remains of cows, horses, dogs and several human remains. Saran and Ult scientists confirmed the destroyed buildings to be of Freon origin. The Saran Queen send a request for explanation to the Freons, which was ignored at first. (See the Epsilon Indi Case )

The system was entered in the catalogs as Epsilon Indi and the six planets were named :

  • 1) Gray
  • 2) Johnson
  • 3) Wright
  • 4) Lang
  • 5) Strobel
  • 6) Pizzolato

(The last names of pre Astro atronomers associated with discoveries related to Epsilon Indi)

The first colonists arrived on "Johnson, planet" in 2156 OTT (Arks Colorado , Tijuana and California )

Today the system is well developed, all planets are occupied and industry is diverse. There is a Class A space port on planet Wright and a large Fuel stop around  planet Strobel.

The system has a space train station on Pizzolato ( Space Train Booster station for the Sol / Ulta line with regional Space train stopping once a day)
