generally referred to as Channel 3. Channel 3 is the official news channel of SII broadcasting and the most watched GalNet Channel. (Channel 1 is Union Federal and broadcasts from the Assembly around the clock and usually without commentary. GalNet Channel 2 also broadcasts news but in a more social content and also has life entertainment. Channel 3 aka GalNet News broadcasts news around the clock with a focus on Union wide issues (with little local news if any) GalNet News is the most watched of all Channels and it is commercial free. On the Channel 3 carrier the news are broadcast Avatar enabled, Virtual, 3Dee, 2Dee and Audio only. It is broadcast on all known transmission technologies, chiefly of course on GalNet. News start on every hour (Previous news can be downloaded). The News always start with a visual of the Assembly and a projection of Union time. Then the GalNet News Chime and one of the hosts speaks the date and the time. After that the News sorted by importance are presented. The hosts are among the most recognized celebreties.
