The Galympics, also known as the Galympic Games is an outgrowth from the earlier Modern Olympic Games, the Pan Saran Olympics, and a series of games played in the Saran Empire. The first games were held in 2140 with a planned interval of four years between games.
In 2180, there was a reorganization of the Galympic Games spliting the events into one of five categories.
Classic Olympics - Consisting mostly of the traditional track and field style events (ancient greek and romans.)
Aqualympics - Consisting of events on or in liquid water.
Neolympics - Individual events that were never a part of the ancient Greek or Roman olympics.
Team Galympics - Team competitions.
Cryolympics - Galympic competitions held over snow or ice (formerly known as "Winter games.")
