Glamaan
Sentient Species - Extinct - M-0 Galaxy
Not much is known about the Glamaan other than the fact that they seem to be an indigenous species of unique physical features found nowhere else.
The Glamaan rose to Galactic prominence during the Afonee / Glamaan war about 10,000 years ago. A time where both the Glamaan and the Afonee reached Techlevel 6 or 7.
The Glamaan supported by the Kermac became a Thrall species already during the First Galactic Council, won the war and exterminated the Afonee[1]
About 2000 years ago, the Glamaan planets were attacked by Galactic Council forces, led by the Nogoll and all Glamaan planets (4) were utterly destroyed after many weeks of planetary bombardment.[2] Why the Kermac ordered the extermination of the Glamaan is not known. Some speculate that the Kermac did it to show a more important thrall species, that they meant business and had no quarrels to destroy a civilization that did not conform.
However this had never happened before or again and does not fit the Kermac behavior pattern. Other voices claim that the Glamaan were PSI masters on the level of the Leedei and experts in creating biological psionic lifeforms.[3] and the Kermac were afraid of the Glamaan who were TL 7.
