Hyper Bug

recently discovered non sentient life form apparently capable of traversing between this and another time space continuum. These 5 cm bugs have been found to infest Ancient Gate LII-4

Not much is known about this life form as of yet.

A team of Union scientists have traveled to Gatehouse LII-4 , among them the first Narth Scientis t[1]. The discovery of a such a life form caused an excited sensation in the Union Science Community.

First observations suggest that the Hyper Bug might be sentient.

The Hyper Bugs are attracted to Union ISAH drives and disturb the drives super symmetry.

Only Transdim Quantum Shift shields seem to be able to prevent the bugs from penetrating Union ships.
