This is how the colonists of Nilfeheim were known to others in their region of space, before Nilfeheim became a Union member world. It is generally believes the Colonists of Holstein coined that phrase first.
The term is somewhat misleading and the actual term would be Norse.
However almost everyone on Nilfeheim is either openly or more secretly proud of their brief but violent space pirate history and no one on Nilfeheim uses the term Norse or “Nilfeheimer” but generally refer to themselves as Neo Vikings.
