Representative Offices

Every Planet, Community or Civilization Representative has a Representative Office. This is both a physical location and a division of the Government. These Offices are usually staffed with both Avatar and live personnel. By Assembly tradition there is at least one person on duty at any time to take questions, concerns or initiate support procedures for their contingency. Many Rep Offices are also an extension or outpost for the group’s cultural affairs and Commerce related affairs. For example the Representative Office of the Planet New Sweden has a Cultural desk and a Commerce and Trade Desk, both staffed around the clock in addition to the core desk of the Representative. The Representative Office of the Sarans is staffed with several hundred employees and departments. Rep. Offices offer many of the same services an Embassy would have done in centuries past. The Staff requirements and the associated support services for the Assembly accounts for a large percentage of Pluribus GDP.
