The device weighs 1050 grams and can either be deployed by tossing like a grenade or by grenade launchers. It features two modes : Standard and robotic.
In robotic mode, the device can be instructed to detonate only when certain conditions are met. In sentry mode or lingering mode. The robotic mode has friend foe recognizing capabilities and is capable of self deployment by trajectory jump of up to 200 meters.
While the device is designated as non lethal, it is extremly harmful and can cause conditions that cause death in many BaPhy 1 beings. It is no longer issued as "crowd control" device within the Union but is very popular with Marines on occupied worlds.
It proved one of the most effective devices in the Union Marine actions against the Noghler .
