The true meaning is not clearly understood yet and seems to have a wide range of meanings.
The closest translation Dr.Brenda Brown, (the foremost specialist on the Huffh suggested) is Mother of the Species or Birth giver of her kind.
It appears that only a female Huffh can take that position. Scholars suggested that the word also means "Cave of Life" As the Huffh describe the womb of a female Huffh. In their understanding of things, A dead Huffh goes through the Cave to the Valley to die and returns as a new born through the mother and the birth process.
This aspect of Huffh religion has been severely shaken due to the arrival of Union Officers through the Cave.
