During the Transbiologica-5001 Conference on Phantas; Biologists, Bio Chemists, and Sociologists of the United Stars Science Council concluded, that there are beings or life forms that can not be classified in any classical sense of science so far understood. It was also declared that Entities firmly exist in the fabric and physical makeup of the Mega-verse.
It was furthermore concluded that the laws allowing and explaining them are simply not discovered or understood and therefore insufficient science base exists to explain or define their existence in a satisfactory sense.
The Conference also firmly rejected to accept such terms as Magic, Ghosts, Spirits, Gods or Demons but found a consensus that these terms could stand as synonyms and place holder concepts until factual science is able to explain, define and confirm it. In conclusion, the Science Council decided to create a Meta-Physics Work Group codenamed OLYMPUS in order to catalog and research Entities and their role, impact and influence.

The Work Group is headquartered on Pluribus Unum and operates out of the Ivory Tower of the Science Council on Floors 45 and 46.
The Work Group has a staff of 200 permanent employees and 4 Administrators. The workgroup organizes an Annual Conference and issues a quarterly magazine[1] and an annual report[2]. Most of the Staff are Scholars and Data Miners digging through Myths, Legends, Science Reports, and Log Book Entries concerning Entities.
The Work Group maintains an Upper 9000 GalNet Radio Program[3] and has two Metaphysical Response Teams to research reports and incidents directly and on the spot.
Despite the Science Council commitment creating the group and the repeated renewal, they are somewhat ridiculed by other Science Work Groups in the Ivory Tower (they are also the smallest Work Group)
